I, John N. Loughborough, President of the California Conference of Seventh-day Adventists do hereby certify, that at a meeting of the church of Seventh-day Adventists held at the house of Wm. P. Hammond in Napa, Napa, Co., Cal., Friday, October 10th 1873, called for the purpose of electing trustee, I presiding over said election, that then and there according to the usages of Seventh-day Adventists, Charles A. Eaton, Jonathan S. Ponds and William P. Hammond were duly elected trustees for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in town of Napa, and as such trustees to have the possession, care, and management of the property and temporalities of said church according to its usages, and as trustees to discharge all and singular the duties of a board of trustees for said church in said town according to and conforming in all things with the rules and usages of said church.
This society shall hereafter be known and called the name of the society of the Church of the Seventh-day Adventists of Napa City, California.
