What’s a lifelong Cubs fan doing in a beautiful place like Napa? Avoiding all the “vineyard” language of my ministry responsibilities (you know, “I’m here to work in God’s vineyard, etc.), we have moved here to serve the Napa community, especially the church. Finding some “space” amidst all the “stuff” of my life, I seek to live fully in this beautiful part of the country. The “stuff” of my life includes completing my Doctor of Ministry degree with an emphasis on Leadership, serving as General Editor of The Journal of Applied Christian Leadership, an academic/practitioner journal examining the questions of Christian leadership, all the while getting to experience the great outdoors of this area.
I love to teach and play sports! My areas of interest (I love to read as well!) center around connecting the three texts of our lives: Scripture, our own experience, and the text of the wider culture. Therefore, I try to keep up on issues of human development, spiritual growth, leadership, organizational culture, and wider cultural issues. I believe God’s grace shows itself in amazing and mysterious ways throughout time and space. To read more about this, check out my blog at http://graceformations.blogspot.com/
I am not alone. Cristina has served as a pastor for a couple years (until Jason was born), served as worship leader for a few churches over the past decade or so. She is fluent in four languages, loves to read, all the while being a wonderful mom. Jason, our oldest, has now entered the twilight zone, otherwise known as the teenage years, as an 8th grader this year, while Kristofer joyfully goes along for the ride as a 5th grader. So, let’s grow together!
